Haha... QT tomorrow and I am blogging.
QT is qualifying test if you are wondering.
Anyways... Today I'm gonna blog about ... Hmm... I'm pretty sure it was up in my head a few seconds ago... :-/
Gah... It's so frustrating to be forgetful!
Fine! I'll blog about my forgetfulness then... Nah... That is so boring. Haha... I still remember that I had to go back twice from college 2 Fridays in a row to get some stuff which I should have gotten. Yeah.. and I officially named Friday as Jesse-is-stupid-and-forgetful day.
Anyways... I just remembered what I wanna blog about... So, I'm not gonna embarrass myself by telling the forgetful stories next time. Or I would just forget about it eventually. Hahaha...
Yes... I'm gonna blog about problems.
We face problems, challenges, troubles... Name it whatever you want.. it is the thing that bothers you most of the day and you can't seem to grasp on how to fix it. Got it?
Problems always arises in the course of our lifes. Whether we like it or not.
We can choose to face it... or simply ignore it and take a detour. Hopefully the problem will go away. Unfortunately it doesn't go away that easily.
Today, I have encountered one of my old problems that I have put aside and now it has come back to haunt me. I'll spare you the details.
It was okay until the problem arises again and I hope that this time I can face it and hopefully find the solution this time.
Some facts about problems... Many of them are easily solved and you barely need the help of others. Some are just ridiculous and this is where friends come into play. True friends I mean. True friends would stick around in the gloomiest of days and will be willing to lend a hand to guide or probably assist in our crisis.
One of the most hated problem is those that can only be solved by yourself and your friends cannot help you with it. They may provide advice but then that's the most they can do. The resolving part is all up to us.
It's so frustrating to face this kind of problems. No one to turn to and helpless situation. I detest this feeling. No matter how I try to avoid it, this issue keeps coming back and haunt me.
Yeah.. That's all for tonight. Gotta go and bury myself in books.
Bye folks! Peeps! Pals!
PS
I hope that March will be kind to me.

Socializing
Wooooo... Two in a row! I'm on fire!
Haha... This is pretty much like the previous post.
So, I went to Orientation Ball last night. And as the topic hints, there are a lot of socializing that needed to be done. In fact, the purpose of the ball is so that everyone can mingle around and meet new people that will be spending sometime with us for the rest of the year.
As I am not the type to go and mix around with strangers, this was a nerve wrecking experience for me. Fortunately for me I knew a few people there. However, this did not improve the experience much. I was pretty much stuck in my seat for the whole night.
Anyways, I realized something that night. In fact I was thinking about blogging it when everyone was busy on the dance floor.
It's the whole area of socializing. In case you haven't notice, I abhor socializing. I find it unnecessary and pointless not to mention awkward. I always wonder how do extrovert people are able to just go around tables talking to people. If a stranger comes up to me and talk to me, I would be polite and talk to them with a smile, but deep inside I'm jut wondering when can I be back in peace.
Oops... Went out of track. I wanted to talk about how socializing determines one success.
I have heard of a lot of people talking about how important it is to socialize with people. In fact, it can be said that the more people you know, the path to success has already been paved.
I do agree with it. I mean, the more people you know, the easier work can be done because you can ask for specific help from certain people that are specialized in that field. And, BAM! Problem resolved.
But my question is - "Is socializing necessary for success?" Let me try to define success here cause it has been very hard to determine the perfect definition of success for every single person has a different view on success.
Success here means being able to be someone important.
Okay, so, is it necessary? Why socialize?
Although I hate to admit it, I think it is true. No one will be able to climb up the "ladder" by their own. ( I would like to be the first one though. XD)
As much as I hate to know this, socializing helps us learn more and faster. We can attain knowledge from talking with other people, furthermore, we can also learn from other people mistakes.
But what is the most important part of socializing is that when we socialize with people what are considered VIP, we automatically upgrade to a higher level and soon will be in their social circle.
Gah!!! It's so frustrating to know that without other people it is almost impossible to go to the top.
We must be able to speak up and be bold an show confidence for other people to see. Even if we have do not believe in ourselves we must convince others to believe in us.
The ability of knowing people has become a powerful tool for ease of life.
This really bothers me because this means that people often become friends with hidden agenda. ( another reason to be afraid of strangers being too friendly.)
Everyone someone who I barely know comes up be chat with me, I will start asking myself what does this guy/gal want from me? Probably the reason why I have close to nothing number of close friends. And even with these close friends I practice caution. I am paranoid... Yes I am. I have seen best friends turn to enemies in a blink of an eye just for small little things. What a crazy world I live in. :(
I would prefer friends that are genuine and few compared to a dozen of friends who will only stay when you are well but forsake you when you encounter any problems.
A friends in need is a friend indeed.

Silence
There are times to voice our opinions and there are also time to remain silent.
When we are slow to speak we are able to analyze the situation better. We may be able to think quicker and find out a suitable solution.
Silence also helps us to see what other people is trying to say during a conversation. Which makes silence one of the must-have virtue of a great listener. In order to listen well, one must stop speaking and allow the other individual to speak their mind.
What silence is not is that it is not a sign of weakness. We often regard silence as a characteristic of the weak. On the contrary, being silent at the right times proves that the particular individual practices patience. He/She is able to hold back their feelings and think things through before talking back in such a way the hearer might misunderstand.
However, sometimes silence can bring disadvantages.
When we choose to be quiet... The opportunity for us to say something important may past and we can only live in regret in the future.
Silence often doesn't solve the problem... Communication is a 2-way thing. You cannot have one party just speaking and speaking and speaking without her listening, inversely, you cannot have someone who only listens and does not contribute at all.
What silence can bring is both good and bad. As I like to remain my thoughts stored in my brain... I often remain silent and do not comment or say anything. As a result, I always see the things around me happen not the way I wanted it to be.
I have yet to try speaking up. Probably it would go well. However, I have thought of all the possibilities and none of it leads to a happy ending So, I'll just remain silent and conceal my pain and live life with a smile.
Oh wells.... If it only affects me... I would rather remain quiet.

Choices
Why do we have to make difficult choices in life?
I get so tired sometimes. All these choices I have to choose from on a daily basis... Gah!!!!
If only choices were as easy as ABC. Why do I keep considering about the possibilities and outcomes of each choice? Why not just decide and don't care about what happens next. Everytime I make a decision, I over think too much. (probably one of the reason why I am so indecisive)
I think about others too much. I always put other people's happiness before mine. Don't get me wrong. When I say that, doesn't mean I am not happy by choosing the choices that benefits others most. On the contrary, I delight when I see a smile on other people's face.
What I hate about choices is because not every choice can make every single person around me happy. And these are the choices that I hate the most.
Another thing about choices is... People always hide their feelings. So it's harder for me to judge whether a certain choice is the perfect one they are looking for.
I know I have to stop thinking too much about others when making choices. However, this is how I am! A habit cannot be changed in a blink of an eye, what more a character.
I can't satisfy everyone but what I do is I try to make everyone around me happy even though it means sacrificing a part of my happiness. I would be more than willing to give up my happiness for a smile on someone else's face. Not just any smile... A sincere one.
A true smile can make my day better than any amount of gold and silver.

Great expectations
This has nothing to do with the famous novel by Charles Dickens.
This is a story about me.
Not exactly a story, but it's just something about me.
Well, I'm not sure about you, but I'm the sort of person that sets high goals for myself and expect to myself to do things that may sometimes be beyond my capability.
It's not bad. I mean, how can some goal setting be harmful right? When you set goals it gives you the motivation to keep striving to achieve it.
My problem is not that. My problem is I get disappointed and even depressed at times when I do not do the things I imagine I could accomplish.
It feels so bad at times I start hating myself. Questions like "why didn't I think of that earlier?" and "how could I have made it better?" starts popping in my head.
This feelings can go on for a while ranging from minutes to weeks. What makes the matter worse? Someone comes along and does it better than me and they do it so effortlessly. Gah... It's like a slap to your face saying " hey, you're disposable, you are not needed here anymore. I can replace you anytime"
Reminds me of the movie The Expendables. Haih... Depressing blog post. Well it's a great way to conclude a depressing day. My life ain't a movie and happy endings may not be meant for me, but hey! My life ain't a movie which means that I don't have to follow a script and do whatever people tell me to do. I can be whoever I want to be and say whatever I want to say.
Oh.. I just remembered. I took a personality test a few days ago and one of the result was this "Sometimes I like to withdraw from family and friends and just be alone in my room to read or watch TV." Its so true!
I was wondering why do I do this? Then I thought things through and noticed something. The reason I keep going back to the collection of movies even though I can memorize every dialog made throughout the movie is because I love the endings. Deep down inside I wish life would be the same for me. Besides that, it also provides a temporary escape to the flat 2D virtual world where I could sometimes relate to the main character.
How nice if I could have my happy ending too. The main character strives so hard to overcome everything even though all odds were against him. Still he can rise up victorious in the end. I just wish I could be triumphant in everything I do and achieve my expectations.
Time to end my post by saying... Goodbye and thanks for all the fish.

Lazy to Think of Title
...
I have been staring on a blank page for an hour now.
No, I'm not THAT lifeless... I took a 3-minute-break. :P
Gah.... Forgive me if I am all over the place cause my train of thought is messed up.
OKAY! Let the Train of Thought COMMENCE!
*umm.. sorry to interrupt but the train is under maintenance.*
